Our Story
Why did we create FreeYou.World?
"In 2015 I trained in the Personal Leadership methodology and saw in my intercultural work and trainings in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) that what my clients really needed was a way to differentiate which cultural patterns and programs were useful to being the way they really wanted to be in their interactions with culturally different people. While becoming a First Peace Circle Leader in 2023 I awoke to the idea that my intercultural work was really about helping people gain peace from the inside out.
Having practiced Cutting the Ties that Bind (CTB) since the age of 16, and starting again in 2024 to teach it to others, I had an "A-Ha!" moment. I was able to see the connection between all my different life works. I saw that CTB could help release the unwanted cultural programs that interfered in good cross-cultural interactions and at the same time increase inner peace. Knowing that my mother, Mandy Staffa, is one of the few who have trained directly with Phyllis Krystal and is a keeper of the wisdom, I know that she is a key part in helping to share the pearls she has collected for over more than 30 years about the CTB method with everyone, everywhere." - Almendra Staffa-Healey

Cutting the Ties that Bind Facilitators
Almendra Staffa-Healey
Almendra has been practicing Cutting the Ties that Bind since 1992 and has been leading groups and individuals in the method since the year 2000. She has delivered in person trainings in Spain and online sessions to people from around the world. She is a firm believer in and advocate for collective wisdom for healing and transformation in community. Almendra is a certified coach that specializes in developmental and transformational coaching, as well as an intercultural competencies trainer. She lives in Madrid, Spain.
Mandy Staffa
Mandy has had the great privilege of knowing Phyllis Krystal as her friend and as her teacher. She was able to help organize and introduce Phyllis and her work to Spain. Over many years Mandy attended Phyllis' workshops in Munich, Germany. Phyllis encouraged her to teach the method in person in Spain, India, Denmark, England, and the USA. She has been practicing and delivering Cutting the Ties that Bind trainings to people from diverse nationalities and backgrounds since 1991. Mandy is also an artist, writer and illustrator. She lives in Shepherdstown, West Virginia (USA).
